Our Core Values

With our Core Values, we are answering the question:
“What do we want to be known for?”

Each Value has roots in the way that Jesus lived, taught, and was connected to God in everyday life.

1. Love – Love God, Love people

Matthew 22:37 “Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

2. Connection – Worship that connects us to God

Deuteronomy 6:5 “Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.”

Psalm 150

3. Renovate – Leave things better than when you found them. (Like what God does to our hearts!)

Matthew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

Ezekiel 11:19 “I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.”

4. Relevancy – Uncompromising, Relevant teaching that encourages us throughout our week.

Acts 2:14-39 – Peter’s Preaching to the Jews in Jerusalem – in a way that they understood

Acts 8:26 – Philip and the Ethiopian Seeker

Acts 17:16-34 – Paul in Athens – UNKNOWN GOD Statue

Acts 19:1-10 – Paul shared the message of Jesus Christ with all

5. Flexibility

Ephesians 5: 15-17 “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is..”

6. Servanthood – Do all things as doing them for Jesus

Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’

7. Family - Grow Families Together

Deuteronomy 6: 6-8 “These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Ephesians 5:21 “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.”

8. Trust - Trust God in all situations. Be persistent.

Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
